Walshes Park with David John Piotrowski

David John Piotrowski shares pictures of Walshes Park near Crowborough.

His recommendation is backed by Rachel Jarvest who says: “We often go here. It’s really lovely. Free parking, a shallow stream that kids/dogs can splash in, and a playground next to it in Adams Field.

“It’s suitable for pushchairs, although gravel paths (not so good for small wheels eg on a stroller), and no good for scooters … but a nice scenic walk.”

* Walshes Park was developed by Wealden District Council to mitigate the effects of development in Crowborough and provide a recreational area for local residents.

It includes all-weather tracks and board walks were to be introduced over wetter fields and the area was being opened up to encourage more wildlife. Read more on the Wealden Council website.
