Uckfield Blues and Roots Festival – Saturday night

Crossfire Blues Band, Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion, and Miller Anderson & Bob Brookes with The Juice, perform on day two of the Uckfield Blues and Roots Festival.
They will play at Uckfield Civic Centre on Saturday, July 27, with Crossfire Blues Band taking to the stage first at 7.30pm followed by Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion, and the Miller Anderson & Bob Brookes with The Juice.
Crossfire Blues Band
Crossfire Blues Band are a new band hailing from the South of England and rapidly gaining traction in the live music community, with a combo of blues, soul, jazz and funk.
They will perform at 7.30pm.
Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion
Zoe Schwarz’s first musical experiences were in the world of classical music, since then she has performed in many guises, including singing in indie pop bands, improvisiational theatre workshops and performances.
It was after being invited to sing some Billie Holiday numbers while on a course that she was inspired to search for like-minded musicians and was introduced to Rob Koral. After several years of working together Zoe and Rob formed Zoe Schwarz Blue Commotion in January 2012.
Zoe is due to perform at 8.30pm.
Miller Anderson & Bob Brookes with The Juice
Miller Anderson and Bob Brookes with The Juice are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the most famous music festival with ‘Woodstock Revisited’.
Miller is a Woodstock survivor having played at the festival in The Keef Hartley Band.
The band’s set will feature some classics from the likes of Canned Heat and Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many others, including, of course, The Keef Hartley Band.
Uckfield Blues and Roots Festival
Uckfield Blues and Roots Festival will run from Friday to Sunday, July 26, to 28. The first two evenings will be at Uckfield Civic Centre and Sunday performances will be at The Highlands Inn where the afternoon session will be open to the public and free of charge but tickets will be required for the evening session.
