Uckfield Blues and Roots Festival – Friday night

James & Black, Dani Wilde Band and Sam Kelly’s Station House will launch the Uckfield Blues and Roots Festival on Friday, July 26.
They will appear on stage at Uckfield Civic Centre from 7.30pm, James & Black first, followed by the Dani Wilde Band, and then Sam Kelly’s Station House.
James & Black
Bruce James and Bella Black joined musical forces in Austin, Texas, in 2011. They call their brand of music Guerrilla Soul. It has its roots in Southern Soul from Texas, New Orleans and Memphis but comes with an any place, any time, attitude, and unconventional methods.
They take to the stage at Uckfield Civic Centre at 7.30pm, on Friday, July 26.
Dani Wilde Band
Blues and Country singer-songwriter Dani Wilde has performed at thousands of venues and festivals across Europe, America, Canada, and Africa, from the main stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall, to the slum communities of Kenya, to Times Square, New York City.
The Dani Wilde Band will perform at 8.30pm.
Sam Kelly’s Station House
Sam Kelly’s Station House is a ‘groove’ band with dancing very much in mind. Their unique sound is influenced by New Orleans second line, soul, jazz, calypso, reggae, and British funk.
Sam Kelly’s Station House band will perform from 9.30pm.
Uckfield Blues and Roots Festival
Uckfield Blues and Roots Festival will run from Friday to Sunday, July 26, to 28. The first two evenings will be at Uckfield Civic Centre and Sunday performances will be at The Highlands Inn where the afternoon session will be open to the public and free of charge but tickets will be required for the evening session.
