Remembrance in Maresfield
Location: St Bartholomew’s Church, High Street, Maresfield, Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 2EJ

Officers from the 11th Signals Regiment, 5 Squadron, Maresfield, will march to St Bartholomer’s Church, Maresfield, and take part in a service of Remembrance on Sunday, November 11.
They will assemble outside the Manor House on Maresfield Park, leaving at 10am to arrive for the service at the church at 10.30am. People attending are asked to be seated in the church by 10.25am.
Squadron chaplain the Rev Paul Neiland, will lead the service which will be heralded by a peal of bells.
Two minutes silence will be observed at 11am and the Last Post played by Jonathan Hodgson.
Wreaths and pippies will be laid at the war memorial in the churchyard, and a roll call of Maresfield men who made the ultimate sacrifice will be read out.
Coffee and tea will be served in church after the service, and all are welcome to attend.
Do come and see the St Bartholomew’s Remembrance tribute of a weeping window of poppies and the six foot Tommy silhouette, presented to the village by the parish council and over looking the war memorial from November 3, until the last day of November.
* During the afternoon of the previous day the squadron will carry out jobs around Maresfield. Do go out and say hello, and maybe join in if you have the time.
