Clothing collection event at Framfield Primary School
Location: Framfield Village Hall The Street, Framfield Uckfield East Sussex
Date: Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 9.00 am
A clothing collection event is being held in Framfield to raise funds for the primary school.
Money raised will go towards improving the playground to maximise and enhance the outdoor play area.
The school works with a company called Ecco Kids and payment for the collection is made according to weight. The project will pay up to £500 per tonne of useable clothing, 50p/kg.
The company ideally likes the clothes packed in their own bags but clear or white plastic bin liners clearly marked with the name of the school are also allowed.
Rachel Brocklebank of the Framfield School PTA says she can provide collection bags, if required, and collect filled bags if necessary. She can be contacted on 07979 805329.
Rachel says all clothing must be of good, re-useable, re-wearable quality. Any items from the following list are acceptable:
- Good quality, dry, clean men’s, women’s and children’s clothing
- Handbags, belts
- Hats, scarves, gloves
- Soft toys in new condition
- Paired, clean, undamaged shoes, sandals, boots, trainers (please tie together)
- Costume Jewellery
Filled bags need to be Brough to Framfield Memorial Hall by 9am on Tuesday, April 20.
Rachel said: “We were hugely thankful for the support of the local and wider community with our previous collection, and again, would very much appreciate any donations to support our school.
“I have already had various donations and dropped multiple bags to households. We are very grateful for this support in these challenging times.”
